COLOUR

Very lifted and complex. Nutmeg and cinnamon spice, Christmas pudding combine with orange rind, subtle floral aromas, dried figs and ripe satsuma plum.

PALATE

Lively, complex and layered. Through 15 years maturation this tawny port has developed a deep concentration of fruit, luscious sweetness and a vibrant acidity that sits beautifully in the background. Flavours of ripe black cherry and mulberry fruit, toffee and roasted walnuts overlay the palate and give a beautiful silky finish. 

WINEMAKING

From an exceptional vintage, this 2009 Shiraz was fortified on skins with mature brandy spirit at 4 Baume to craft this single vintage tawny port. Through 15 years maturation in well seasoned oak this tawny port has developed layers of complex characters whilst undergoing gentle concentration over the time with the ‘Angels taking their share’.
