1000 Crowns Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 |
97 | This has to be the finest cabernet yet under this label. There’s power, structure, and poise - a compelling combination. On the nose, lovely floral perfumes, with bright red and black fruit and a little bay leaf lift. There’s vibrancy, and it’s alive with energy on the palate. Finely integrated and poised, with concentration and an effortless ease that extends to a long finish. Make sure you decant it, allow it to open up, and then you’ve got something worth lingering over. |

1000 Crowns Shiraz 2022 |
97 | Here is a wine that completely debunks those who claim Margaret River can’t make classy shiraz. This is an outstanding example that combines the rich opulence of the variety with finesse and suppleness that is the hallmark of the very best for this variety. Vibrant and highly energised aromas of spicy plum and floral dark chocolate, complemented by a dry chalky savouriness. The palate is smooth and seamlessly integrated. Wonderful wine. |

1000 Crowns Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 |
96 | One of the most refined and stylish cabernets yet from Credaro. Yes, the vintage suited these reds, but it’s been well managed to gently coax the best from it. Bright red and blue fruits on the nose with a slightly bay leaf and sea shell minerality. The palate is more medium bodied with fine chalky tannins and fine-grained oak building structure and purpose. Excellent wine. | $80 |
1000 Crowns Chardonnay 2022 |
96 | This is one of the best I have seen from Credaro. Has the typical rich generosity but it's delivered with a tidy restraint and deft elegance. Aromas of lemon blossom, grapefruit and white peach. Then the palate brings it all together with a rich lees influence, neatly applied oak and a crisp fresh acidity. It stacks up mighty well. | $80 |
1000 Crowns Chardonnay 2024 |
96 | This comes from the Margaret River heartland, 100% Wilyabrup. The vineyard was planted back in the '80s, so it’s been there for a while. It’s been wild fermented, whole-bunch pressed with high solids, showing that saline minerality that is so compelling. It’s immensely concentrated, but has focus and poise with real precision. All Gingin clone, so there’s power in spades, and that driving intensity with just a fine, crisp acidity marks this clonal influence. Certainly, one of the best I’ve seen under this brand. | $80 |
1000 Crowns Shiraz 2023 |
95 | This is from the Wilyabrup property of Credaro. It was a great vintage, and this is such a powerful and concentrated example of Margaret River shiraz, yet it’s poised and defined, even a little refined, with a degree of elegance. Made in a fairly traditional way, it displays deep, earthy, grainy, opulent dark plum and blackberry nuances. There is a degree of extraction, but it’s balanced with an abundance of concentration and power. It will certainly handle ageing. Make sure you decant first. | $80 |
1000 Crowns Chardonnay 2023 |
95 | A pure and expressive chardonnay from this exceptional vintage. Treated as naturally as possible with wild yeast fermentation and no malolactic. So, it retains a bright crystalline minerality through the energised palate and lifted aromas. Had about 8 months in oak with regular lees stirring bringing the textural complexity. Racy lemon palate with a faint cashew and chalky character. Precise and linear. |

Kinship Shiraz 2023 |
95 | What you’re getting here is loads of ripe plummy fruit that explodes from the glass. The colour is dense and almost opaque black, with hints of bright red on the rims. It has a deep and rich intensity with an earthy, savoury dark chocolate richness on the palate. Two vineyards contribute — Wilyabrup and Yallingup — and that gives it a little lift on the finish. About 10% whole bunch has gone into it, and in the future, more will contribute to the finished wine. There’s real concentration and power here, very promising. | $45 |
Kinship Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 |
95 | Like so many cabernets from this vintage, it displays elegance and style, but at the same time, there is structure and poise. A little petit verdot and malbec have been introduced, making an important contribution, but in the main it’s all about the blackcurrant and blackberry notes, even with a touch of dark chocolate. There’s brightness and energy, with deep, vigorous concentration and a lift of light oyster shell minerality carrying it forward. A trace of bay leaf, a little dark chocolate, and that touch of French oak finishes it off. Very impressive wine. |

Ereditá Fiano 2025 |
94 | A variety that continues to find a home in many parts of the state. It’s wine of both purity and flavour. On the nose, a mix of nutty pear and citrus provides a nice opening. Then the palate displays richness with a dry savoury element pushing through to a long finish. There’s excellent texture and richness here held with focus and control. |

Kinship Chardonnay 2024 |
93 | Here is a wine that captures a rich, nutty interpretation of Margaret River. It's generous, yet there is a controlled and refined structure here. It’s been all wild fermented, with a mix of vineyards contributing. It gets about 25% new oak for around nine months. There’s a nice bright minerality, and the balance comes from the 25% puncheons, which means the wine is not dominated by oak. It has a lovely saline sea spray character. |

Ereditá Montepulciano 2024 |
93 | The first thing is the depth and intensity of the colour. It was made minimalistically with little winemaking involvement. Has a ripe, juicy mouthfeel with plenty of dark and blue fruits with some nicer savoury herb-like characters. There’s a sort of wild and crazy mix of aromas that are immediately engaging. Lovely texture and dried finish. |

Kinship Rosé 2025 |
93 | There’s a fair bit of Italian influence here because it’s two-thirds nebbiolo and one-third barbera, co-fermented. It shows how these varieties can work together with a certain style. Fermented in all older oak, with lees stirred to bring richness, complexity, and textural character to this light-bodied wine. It’s quite fragrant, with an energy that extends through to the finish. | $35 |
