In late 2012 CH’NG Poh Tiong decided to launch the first Margaret River Report.
Since 2000 CH’NG Poh Tiong has published the annual ‘Chinese Bordeaux Guide’.
He visited the Margaret River Region 35 years ago and has always thought...
that Margaret River produces some of the most compelling Bordeaux blends
outside Bordeaux.
The blind tasting was held in Margaret River for red Bordeaux varietals and 55
wines were submitted. The criteria was that the wine had to be 100% Margaret
River from the 2010 vintage. Only one bottle from each winery in the region was
allowed to be submitted. The Margaret River Report includes the top 30 wines
tasted from the 2010 vintage and a rating out of 5 stars.
The Credaro Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 was one of only two wines to receive a 5
star rating. CH’NG Poh Tiong also commented to say, ‘The Credaro Cabernet
Sauvignon 2010 is a wine a Bordeaux Classified Growth would be very proud to
call its own’.
2010 CREDARO CABERNET SAUVIGNON
5 STARS
“Complex nose that includes violets, raspberries, blueberries and blackcurrants.
The tannins are just as unrelentingly rich, ripe, intense and suave. A wine of great
structure, freshness and most importantly, unafraid fruit that is contoured,
controlled and full of precision. A stunner.” Poh Tiong
